With relational organizing, you text the friends and family already in your phone. Texts go out from your own number, through your own messaging app, so the people you know hear from you, not a campaign. Here's how it works.
Step 1: Log in to the Numinar app
Open the Numinar app and log in. Don't have it yet? See Where to Download the Numinar App.
Step 2: Open your relational texting project
On the Home screen, tap the relational texting project from your organization. Relational projects have a blue people icon.
Step 3: Allow access to your contacts
The first time you open the project, your phone asks to share your contacts with Numinar. This is how Numinar finds which of your contacts are on your organization's voter list.
On iPhone, tap Continue, then Share All Contacts. If you pick Select Contacts instead, only the people you choose can be matched.
On Android, tap Allow.
Step 4: Tap Match Contacts
Tap Match Contacts. Matching takes about 30 to 60 seconds. Keep the app open while it works.
Step 5: Choose who to text
You'll see every contact who matched the voter list:
Each name is shown the way you saved it in your phone, with the voter-file name underneath ("listed as").
The column on the right shows extra info your organization chose to display, like a voter's plan to vote.
A green check means you've already texted that person.
Tap a contact to get started.
Step 6: Pick a script and tap Edit and Send
Tap the message you'd like to send (1), then tap Edit and Send (2). If there's only one message, it's already selected. Tap Skip Voter to move on to the next contact without texting.
Step 7: Personalize and send the text
Your phone's texting app opens with the message filled in. Feel free to tailor it to the person, then hit send.
đĄ A personal touch goes a long way. Mention something you have in common, like "Great seeing you at the game last week!" Relational is a powerful tool precisely because you already have a relationship with the person you're texting.
On iPhone, Messages opens. Once you send, you're taken right back to Numinar.
On Android, your default texting app opens, like Google Messages.
After you send, come back to Numinar and tap Confirm send so your text is counted.
Step 8: Keep going
Numinar thanks you and opens the next person on your list.
Back on your list, everyone you've texted has a green check, so you can see who's left. That's it!

Only contacts whose phone number matches a voter on your organization's list show up. If you chose Select Contacts when sharing, only those contacts were checked.

Numinar doesn't have access to your contacts. Tap Enable Contacts Access to Match under the button to open your phone's settings, turn on Contacts for Numinar, and come back to the app.

No. Numinar opens your own messaging app with the message filled in, and you decide whether to send it. Nothing is sent until you tap send.

Some organizations pay volunteers for each contact. If yours does, the project shows the amount per contact, and a Cash out your earnings button appears on your Home screen. Tap it, then tap Redeem. Numinar emails you a link to upload screenshots of your texts, and your payment is sent by email once they're approved.
