Integrations send your Numinar data to tools outside of Numinar. Right now, you can send your data to an Amazon S3 bucket, so your team can use it in their own reports and dashboards.
š” Only Owners and Admins can set up integrations. You'll also need access to your organization's AWS account to finish setup.
Step 1: Go to Settings and click Integrations
In the left menu, click Settings (1), then click the Integrations tab (2). Click Add Integration (3).
Step 2: Choose Amazon S3
Choose Amazon S3 (1) and click Continue (2).
Step 3: Create a role in AWS
Numinar shows you a trust policy. Click the copy button (1) to copy it.
In your AWS account, create an IAM role and add this trust policy to it. Then give the role access to your bucket by attaching a policy that allows s3:GetObject, s3:PutObject, s3:DeleteObject, and s3:ListBucket, or use the AmazonS3FullAccess managed policy. See AWS's guide to creating a role with a custom trust policy.
Copy your new role's Role ARN from AWS, then click Continue (2).
Step 4: Enter your bucket details
Fill in your AWS Region, Bucket Name, Bucket Path (the folder in your bucket where Numinar should save files), and Role ARN (1).
Click Test Connection. Numinar saves and then deletes a small test file in your bucket to make sure it can reach it. When the button says Connection Verified (2), click Continue (3).
Step 5: Choose which data to send
Pick the data you want in your bucket. Both sections are optional, so choose what your team needs.
Scheduled Syncs (1) send outreach data on a schedule, from every 5 minutes to every 24 hours. Choose Canvass Interactions to send every door knock.
Real-Time Syncs (2) send data whenever it changes, like Users, Teams, Projects, Surveys, Lists, and Geofences.
Click Create Integration (3). Numinar sends all of your existing data right away, then keeps your bucket up to date.
Step 6: Check your syncs
Click your integration to open its details. Scheduled Syncs and Real-Time Syncs show what's being sent (1). Click the History tab (2) to see each sync.
Each sync shows the type of data, how many records were sent, and when. A failed sync is marked with a red X.
Edit, resend, or delete an integration
Click the ā® button at the end of your integration's row (1), then choose an option (2):
Edit Integration: change your bucket details or which data is sent, and test the connection again.
Run Manual Backfill: send all of your data again from the beginning.
Delete Integration: stop sending data. Files already in your bucket aren't deleted.
š¬ Frequently Asked Questions
What do the files in my bucket look like?
What do the files in my bucket look like?
Numinar saves a folder for each type of data inside your Bucket Path, like numinar/exports/canvass_interactions/. Each file is named with the time of the sync. Surveys and Conditional Surveys are saved as JSON Lines (.jsonl) files, and everything else is saved as CSV.
Why did a sync fail?
Why did a sync fail?
This usually means Numinar can no longer reach your bucket, for example if the IAM role or its permissions changed in AWS. Click ā®, then Edit Integration, check your settings, and test the connection again.
