Jump Logic is an advanced addition to surveys that can be used to personalize your messaging for specific voters.

When using Jump Logic, volunteers will be prompted to ask survey questions based on the answers that the voter gives them. This allows your campaign to fine-tune and personalize your messaging when contacting voters!

Step 1/4

Create a New Survey:

Step 2/4

Add any questions and responses that you would like in this survey.

💡 Remember to keep your tags organized to maximize the clarity of your data! Try to keep tag names, uses and responses standardized.

Step 3/4

Now return to the questions that you would like to add Jump Logic to and select 'Show Advanced Options' and check Jump Logic.

Step 4/4

Next to the desired response, select the question number that you would like the survey to go to if this response is selected. In this example, a 'Yes' response will display question 2. A 'No' response will display question 3.

💡 Questions will default to the next question unless it is the final question of the survey, in which it will default to 'End Survey'. Questions without Jump Logic will continue the survey normally.

Below are examples of what the remaining survey logic might look like.

In Question 2 we asked a favorability question that would either jump to question 4 (a yard sign question) if the voter is supportive or jump to question 3 (an educational persuasion question) if they are unsupportive.

You can See Question 3 below. The survey will jump to question 4 (a yard sign question) if the response is 'Yes' or the survey will end if the response is 'No'.

YES! You can use jump logic across all voter contact methods.

Can I return to the previous question if I select the wrong answer?

Yes, only when canvassing or calling. on the mobile app, the previous question and its response will be visible directly above the new question.
