How to buy a phone number

If your Numinar subscription includes calling, texting, or polling, you will need to have an outbound phone number(s) in your account. Check out the steps below for how to purchase and/or edit phone numbers!

💡Calling subscriptions only need 1 phone number. Texting and polling can have more. Phone numbers are $5/mo per number.


Step 1/7: Click on Settings

Step 2/7: Click on Phone Numbers

🚨Make sure all the fields in "Organization Information" have been filled out.

Step 3/7: Click on Purchase Number

To ensure your toll-free number is ready when you need it, please allow 3 to 10 business days for approval.

💡If you are conducting multiple large projects (50k+ messages), it is advised to purchase two numbers to switch between to avoid being flagged as spam.

Step 4/7: Select "Calling" or "Texting"

Step 5/7: Type your desired area code and select purchase number

A single number can be used by as many volunteers as you would like. Take a look at our other Help Center articles if you have more questions on Calling or Texting.

Step 6/7: View your new phone number

Step 7/7: Click the trash can icon if you need to delete



💬Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a Google Voice number or an external number?

No, you will need to purchase a number with us!

Can I use a 10DLC number instead of a Toll-Free Number?

No, we currently are not offering 10DLC options at this time.

Where do inbound calls route to from outreach?

The org phone number listed in the Organization Information section is where those calls route to! It is highly suggested to obtain a Google Voice Number. Instructions on how to obtain a free on are here.

Why can't I purchase my area code?

Sometimes certain area codes aren't available from our provider. Try another nearby area code or contact support@numinar.com.
