After creating your call project, your assignees are ready to start making calls! Calls can be made from the desktop and the mobile app.

💡Numinar's predictive dialer feature increases your call volume by dialing multiple numbers from the desktop or on your mobile web browser.

Step 1/13: Click on Projects

Step 2/13: Select your call project

After you click on your desired call project, the project drawer will open.

Step 3/13: Try a Test Call

We recommend trying a test call before starting the call project!

Step 4/13: Click on Continue Calling to begin making calls

Step 5/13: Before starting, you can adjust the number of outbound calls

Numinar's predictive dialer feature allows you to connect only with voters who answer. You can increase the number of calls that go out by adjusting the number of "simultaneous calls." If you select 4, this means 4 calls will dial at the same time.

💡By conducting multiple simultaneous calls, volunteers are able to get through lists much faster.

If more than one voter answers, one voter will be placed on hold until the original call is completed. This is the trade-off for the ability to call through lists extremely quickly.

🚨 For context: On average we see roughly 1-2 voters answer and have a conversation with volunteers per 100 calls placed. This means the probability of multiple voters answering at a single time is unlikely.

💬Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to any calls recieved back?

Any calls recieved are routed from the Numinar call number to the number listed in the Settings Organization page.

Are calls made charged to my phone plan?

No! We use VOIP (voice over internet protocol), so you aren't charged as a caller. The only fee is for the outreach (call attempts).

What's the recommendation on number of simultaneous calls?

We recommend starting with 4 or 6 for new callers. If you find less voters are picking up the phone, you can increase to speed up the project. Realistically callers will only speak to one voter at a time regardless of the number of voters being called.

Can multiple volunteers make calls using the same calling number at the same time?

Yes! As many volunteers as you would like are able to make calls using the same Numinar calling number at any given time.
