An additional option for creating a random sample poll is to create a balanced random sample. This list export allows you to create a sample list of voters and balance the list based on different demographics (age, modeled party, ethnicity, registered party, and sex). That list can then be reuploaded into Numinar as a tag and applied to your sample survey list!
💡Want to target 50% of voters under the age of 55 in your IVR poll for example? Easily do so with the balanced random export! See below.
Step 1/15: Click on Lists and open desired list
Step 2/15: Add filters
In this case, it's for an IVR poll, so land line and landline reliability were added in addition to targeting voters in a particular county!
Step 3/15: Click on three dots
Step 4/15: Click on Download
Step 5/15: Select Random Sample Export and click continue
Step 6/15: Type in your desired sample size

Step 7/15: Select your list balancing option
In this case, I want to balance age demographics
Step 8/15: Select your desired percentages per slider and export
Once you hit 100%, the option to export the sample button will turn blue from grey. Note, each slider has a limit based on the actual number of voters that meets the criteria of that segment.
Step 9/15: Click on Data
After you export the list you will need to reimport it in as a tag if you want to use in your survey list. First step is to create the tag name for the balanced random sample export.
Step 10/15: Create Tag
Step 11/15: Click on Uploads
Next step is to upload the export with the tag back into Numinar. Check out this article for how to upload data into Numinar for more info.
Step 12/15: After the tag upload finishes, it will show as completed here
Step 13/15: Go back to lists and add the uploaded tag into the list
Step 14/15: Check total counts and see you have 20k voters w/landlines
Step 15/15: Click on Save
