How to See Canvassing Results

Written by Lindsay Farrow

After you've started or completed a canvassing project, you can see results right away in Numinar. There are three ways to view them:

  1. The Reports page

  2. The Tags page

  3. Building lists from your survey answers

Reports page

Step 1: Open Reports

In the left menu, click Reports (1). The Doors card at the top (2) shows how many doors your team has knocked.

In the top right, use the filter button (1) to narrow results to a User/Team, a Project, or a Date Range. The gear button (2) lets you count canvassing by Voters or Households. Households counts each door once per day, even if it was knocked more than once.

Step 2: Click the Doors card

Click Doors to see canvassing activity only. The whole page filters to door knocks.

Step 3: Check the Leaderboard

The Leaderboard shows how many doors each volunteer has knocked. Click any column header to sort, use Group By to see totals by team or project, and click the download button to export it.

Step 4: See each door in the Activity feed

In the Activity card, click Feed to see each door knock as it happens, with its outcome and any notes. The Counts tab shows how many doors ended in each outcome, like Canvassed, Not Home, or Refused.

Build a list from survey answers

Want to follow up with everyone who asked for a yard sign? Build a list from your tags.

Step 1: Create a new list and click Add Filter

In the left menu, click Lists (1), then click New List (2). Name your list, then click Add Filter. See How to Create a Canvassing List for the full steps.

Step 2: Choose Tags and pick your tag

Click Tags on the left (1), then add the tag from your canvassing survey (2). Select the answer you want, like Yes for Yard Sign. You can use this list for a new project, or export it.

Optional: Find everyone already canvassed

Under Contact (1), the Last Outcome - Canvass filter (2) lets you build a list of voters by their most recent door knock.
