Did you know? A reminder to vote is 27% more effective when coming from a friend or family member.
Relational Organizing makes YOU the most influential messenger this election. There are two ways you can help causes or campaigns that matter to you. Just follow the steps below.
Get set up
Download the Numinar app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Create a Numinar account and confirm your email address. See How to Create your Numinar User Account.
Join your organization. The easiest way is to open the join link your organization shared with you. You can also open the menu in the top left of the app, tap Browse Organizations, find your organization, and tap Join Organization.
Help your friends vote
Here's how to text your friends and family:
On the Home screen, tap the relational texting project your organization set up, like "Text Your Friends".
Allow Numinar to access your contacts, then tap Match Contacts.
Tap a matched contact, choose a message, and tap Edit and Send.
Personalize the message in your texting app and send it.
If you're using an Android device, come back to Numinar and tap Confirm send.
For a full walkthrough with screenshots, see How to use Relational to contact your friends.
Help your neighbors vote
Here's how to talk with voters who live near you:
On the Home screen, tap Contact Your Neighbors.
The map shows voters on your organization's list who live near you. Tap List at the bottom to see them by household.
Visit a neighbor and tap their name.
If they come to the door, tap Available, ask the survey questions, tap their answers, and tap Submit. If no one answers, tap Unavailable and pick a reason.
See how your team is doing
If your organization turned on the leaderboard, tap Leaderboard at the bottom of the app. Tap the people icon to see how many friends everyone has reached.
Tips for great conversations
Make it personal. Edit the suggested text so it sounds like you. Mention something you share, like a recent get-together.
Start with the people closest to you. Family, close friends, and neighbors are the most likely to listen.
Follow up. If someone writes back with a question, answer it. That conversation is where the real impact happens.
Respect a no. If someone isn't interested, thank them and move on.
